Privacy Policy

AutoHub ZM is a product and property of EASIDEA SOLUTIONS (“EASIDEA SOLUTIONS”, “we”, “us”). We operate the AutoHub ZM vehicle marketplace app and related services in Zambia. This policy explains how we handle personal data in line with the Data Protection Act, No. 3 of 2021 of the Republic of Zambia and other applicable law. Contact: support@easyidea.space

We collect information you provide and information created when you use the Platform, including: • Account details: name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form by our auth provider), and profile photo. • Listings: vehicle details, prices, location (city), photos, descriptions, and listing status. • Dealer information: business name, contact details, about text, logo, and verification documents you upload. • Messages and offers: in-app chats, price offers, and related metadata. • Payments: mobile money number, payment amount, purpose (subscription, extra listing, premium boost), and status returned by our payment processor. We do not store card PAN or mobile-money PINs. • Reports and safety: listing reports and the reason you select. • Device and notifications: push notification tokens, app version, and basic device platform. • Usage: search filters, favorites, compare selections, and similar in-app activity needed to run the service.

We process personal data to: • Create and manage your account and listings. • Show vehicles to buyers and connect buyers with sellers (including in-app chat, call, and WhatsApp when you choose those actions). • Process platform fees via Lenco (BroadPay) and keep billing records. • Send transactional messages (email OTP, listing alerts, billing reminders) and, where you opt in, marketing or alert notifications. • Detect fraud, spam, stolen-vehicle reports, and other abuse. • Improve, secure, and debug the Platform. We rely on: (a) performance of a contract with you; (b) our legitimate interests in operating a safe marketplace; (c) legal obligations; and (d) consent where required (for example optional alerts or camera/gallery access).

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed: • Other users: public listing content, seller/dealer name, city, and contact channels you enable (phone, WhatsApp, chat). • Payment processors: Lenco / BroadPay to collect platform fees. • Infrastructure providers: hosting, database, authentication, file storage, email, and push notifications (including Supabase and Firebase). • Authorities: if required by Zambian law, a court order, or to protect users from crime or serious harm. Some providers may process data outside Zambia. Where that happens, we use providers who apply appropriate contractual and security safeguards.

If you create a listing, you may grant camera or photo-library access. Images you upload become part of your listing and may be shown publicly. Location on listings is the city you select, not continuous GPS tracking. You can refuse device permissions; some listing features will then be unavailable.

We keep account and listing data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for billing, dispute handling, fraud prevention, and legal record-keeping. Payment records may be retained for tax and accounting periods required in Zambia. You may request deletion as set out below.

Subject to the Data Protection Act, you may request to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Correct inaccurate data. • Delete your account and associated personal data, except where we must retain records. • Object to or restrict certain processing. • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (this does not affect processing already carried out). Email support@easyidea.space with the subject “Data request”. To delete your account, visit /delete-account. We may need to verify your identity. You may also lodge a complaint with the Zambia Data Protection Commissioner.

AutoHub ZM is for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.

We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), access controls, and hashed passwords. No online service is completely secure. Please use a strong unique password and do not share OTPs or PINs.

We may update this policy. The “Effective date” on this page will change when we do. Continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised policy, except where the law requires fresh consent.
